The process begins by loading and flipping trays onto the conveyor belt, which carries them through a vision inspection checkpoint. This stage utilizes three cameras to eliminate blind spots and provide a broader field of view, ensuring thorough scanning for defects or inconsistencies such as scratches, irregular sizes, bumps, or holes.
Once the inspection is complete, the information is passed to the sorting arm, the final stage of the process. The sorting arm then directs the tray into either the pass or fail bin, effectively removing defective pieces from the main production line.
