Our Tokimeku team has developed the latest solutions an automated, compact, in-line inspection and sorting machine designed to seamlessly integrate into our customer’s existing production line.
This project highlights Tokimeku’s continued strength in developing efficient, bite-sized automation systems, allowing customers to explore aspects of automation without committing to a complete overhaul of their production facility.
This inspection and sorting machine is mounted on top of the existing machine, with its conveyor system aligning perfectly with the client’s conveyor, ensuring smooth operation without the need for major layout adjustments. Its small footprint and modular design allow for easy installation, maintenance, and future upgrades, offering flexibility for evolving production needs.
How does this In-line Inspection and Sorting Machine work? Installed directly after a series of printers, the customer’s jig and printed workpieces are automatically transferred onto our inspection system. A V-shaped guide structure is there to funnel and align the incoming jigs into the right position, allowing the machine to securely pick them up for inspection.
The system is capable of inspecting up to 16 different combinations ("recipes") of printed workpieces. During each cycle, the software evaluates key print attributes including: Text accuracy, Font size, Color consistency, Proper placement
Any workpiece that fails to meet specifications on even a single parameter is immediately removed by robotic grippers and placed into a designated “Defect Bypass Tray” for manual review and reprinting. Successfully inspected workpieces remain in the jig, which is then automatically lowered back onto the conveyor and advances to the next stage of the production line.
The inspection process is visualized in real-time via an attached monitor display, with all inspection data logged for tracking and quality assurance purposes.
